Client should be able to view the self concept graph in the software and not just in the downloads packet.

Caroline Porter AdminGood morning,
We do not include Self-Concept in the software because our science team does not recommend users using Self Concept for hiring decisions. The Self Pattern and how it compares to the job target should be utilized in the decision making.
Let me know if you have any questions about this.
Thank you,

Melanie WoodCaroline, self-concept is ESSENTIAL in the hiring process! It helps us see if the person is currently living out the adaptations we would be asking them to make. If their SELF BA doesn't match the job, however the SC DOES, AND they have been doing that job for 5 years, they have most likely learned to make those adaptations. Or at least we can ask what frustrates them most about their current job, and if it IS those shifts, it aides in the interview! Not seeing self-concept in hiring is such a disservice!

Bill BarkerSelf-concept changes are important data during the interview process. Clients are able to more effectively probe a candidate with such data. You can have 10 people with the same self profile applying for the same job, but they still have 10 different stories to tell about how they got to the point of applying to your company.

Alexis FinleyThe self-concept is for probing into their environment. The self-concept has never been the basis for making a hiring decision—nor is the self. It’s one data point. But I agree with my colleagues above that the self-concept is an integral part of the hiring process, even though it is not a decision-making data point. If this is missing or hard to find, it will diminish the value the PI brings to the hiring process.

Kathleen D. TeehanSelf Concept is critical in the hiring process. It helps to understand if the individual, in their current role, is moving closer to the Job Target, and if so, how are they doing it, what is the impact, is this shift sustainable or is it the reason they are leaving their current job? Clients find this tremendously helpful.
I know that we can access it in the downloadable packet, but hiding it, and making it more difficult for a client to access reports that bring high value is not a great solution.
