Cognitive Assessment in 2.0
Please consider reinstating the more complete explanation for the CA. Different jobs require different areas of cognitive. For example, a job may need higher verbal aptitude than another and just getting the over score does not tell us that one of the three (abstract, numeric or verbal) is higher or lower than another. A below average score for numeric might be okay if what the position needs is high verbal. Taking away the number attempted and the number correct and the breakdown negates the value of the Cognitive assessment. In PI2, the way it is presented, there is limited value to seeing the overall score only.

At a minimum, we need a breakdown of the number of questions attempted and how many were correct. This is a must have, as the overall score alone is not enough to truly understand how the individual took the test. Ex: they may have scored a 180, but in reality they got a high percentage of the questions correct but didn't get through as many in the time allotted. We need this to see a clear well-rounded view of the candidate. -

Pernille Flensted-JensenYes, we absolutely need more information such as the percentile, number of responses vs. number of correct answers, as well as a report to download/send/print. The subscores can't be used for decision-making, but help you understand how the assessment taker took the assessment, and it provides you with information you can discuss when giving feedback.

ChipYes, please re-instate the report that says how many attempted and how many were correct, along with the numeric vs. verbal, this can be key info on why someone scored as they did.

Emily OksenI've had two clients share that they feel the Cognitive Target doesn't provide enough context or valuable information to make informed decisions. One of these clients (QCI Solutions) questioned how she can be sure they have set the cognitive target accurately when their ideas of the required cognitive level for a job are subjective. Despite reading our documentation on the cognitive assessment, she felt these questions about ensuring accuracy remained unanswered.
